High line voltage

High line voltage — main voltage exceeds 264 Vrms (240V system) or 138 Vrms (120V system), microprocessor corrupted, or main board fault.

First step from the service manual

Check the AC main voltage. If found too high, communicate the same to the consumer and try to restart the dryer. If dryer does not start, replace the electronic control board and re-try.

From Service Manual 889590, p.42:

1.Check the AC main voltage. If found too high, communicate the same to the consumer and try to restart the dryer. If dryer does not start, replace the electronic control board and re-try.

2.Measure line voltage at the power cord terminal block. Expected: 120 VAC (L1 to neutral) or 208 to 240 VAC between L1 and L2 under load.

3.Inspect the cord strain relief and terminal block screws for signs of arcing or heat discoloration. Loose connections here mimic an intermittent power failure to the control board.
