You should not continue operating the washer while the tE1 fault is active. The temperature sensor involved monitors heat in the duct and fan housing during the drying cycle, and running the machine without a functioning sensor means heat buildup in that area could go undetected. A power reset, such as unplugging the unit for a few minutes and restarting, may temporarily clear the tE1 code if the fault was caused by a transient issue like a momentarily loose connector.
