AEG Washer Error Code E10

E10 means the washer is not detecting water entering the machine at an adequate flow rate. The control system monitors water inlet and stops the cycle if the expected water level is not reached in time. Causes range from a closed water tap or blocked inlet filter to a faulty inlet valve, defective air trap, wiring issue, or control board fault.

You should not attempt to run the washer while E10 is active. The machine has halted the cycle precisely because it cannot confirm adequate water is present, and forcing operation could damage the motor, drum bearings, or heating element. Resolve the water supply issue before resuming use.

If the fix is simply opening a tap or cleaning a filter screen, there is no parts cost involved. Replacing a faulty water inlet valve typically costs between $40 and $120 for the part, plus labor if a technician is involved. Air trap replacements are generally on the lower end of repair costs, while a control board replacement can range from $150 to $350 or more depending on the specific model.

Start by confirming the water tap is fully open and the inlet hose is not kinked. Next, turn off the water supply, disconnect the inlet hose, and check the small filter screens at both ends for blockage. If those are clear, the inlet valve, air trap, or associated wiring may need to be inspected or replaced. A technician can test the valve solenoid and pressure system if the basic checks do not resolve the error.

A reset may clear the error display temporarily, but E10 will return at the next cycle if the underlying cause has not been addressed. To properly clear the fault, the water supply issue, valve function, or sensor problem must be corrected first. After fixing the root cause, restart the machine and the error should not reappear.
