Error code 10 on a Fisher & Paykel dryer indicates a 24-volt supply measurement error. Specifically, the sensor module has detected that the voltage on the actuator power supply circuit is lower than the expected threshold. The actuator power supply is responsible for delivering regulated 24V DC to the components the sensor module controls and monitors, including any electromechanical actuators within the dryer's operating system. When this supply falls below the required level, the sensor module flags the fault and halts normal operation to prevent damage from under-voltage conditions.

The sensor module itself is the central diagnostic component in this fault. It continuously monitors the 24V rail and compares the measured voltage against acceptable operating limits. A reading that falls outside that range triggers error code 10. This could result from the sensor module's own internal voltage measurement circuitry failing, or from an actual drop in the supply voltage caused by a wiring fault, a failing power supply board, or excessive load on the 24V rail.

Because the first and primary diagnostic step is direct replacement of the sensor module, this fault is most commonly attributed to an internal failure within the module itself rather than an external wiring or supply issue. However, before completing the repair, technicians should also inspect the wiring harness and connectors feeding the sensor module to rule out loose or corroded connections that could produce a false low-voltage reading.
