A reset by unplugging the washer for at least 30 seconds may clear E17 if the fault was caused by a temporary voltage spike or brief overload condition. However, if the underlying cause is a wiring problem or a failing inverter, the error will return after the next wash cycle or shortly after restart. A reset should be treated as a first diagnostic step, not a permanent fix.
