LG Washer Error Code AE4

AE4 is a communication error indicating that the main printed board assembly (PBA) is not receiving signals from the WiFi module. The fault is most often caused by a loose, incorrect, or poorly soldered connector between the two components. It is not typically related to your home WiFi network or internet service.

The AE4 error affects the WiFi communication module and generally does not disable the core washing functions of the machine. That said, it is best to address the fault promptly to avoid potential further damage to the main PBA. Running diagnostics and correcting the connection issue before continued heavy use is the recommended approach.

Performing a reset by unplugging the washer for a few minutes may temporarily clear the AE4 code, but if the underlying connector or component issue is not resolved, the error will return. A reset is useful for confirming whether the fault is intermittent, but it is not a substitute for inspecting and correcting the WiFi module connection.
