A reset can clear the code if it was caused by a temporary power fluctuation or voltage irregularity. To reset, unplug the washer for at least one minute and then restore power. If the code reappears after the reset and a normal wash cycle is attempted, there is likely an underlying hardware or wiring issue that needs to be diagnosed.

Repair costs vary depending on the cause. If the fix is as simple as correcting outlet polarity or reseating a wiring harness, there may be no parts cost at all.
