FCE0 means the washer has detected no communication between the Human Machine Interface and the Wi-Fi Module. These two components are connected by a wiring harness, and if that connection is lost or either module fails, this code is triggered. It may also display as F12E0, which is an alternate code for the same fault. Smart and app-based features will be disabled while this fault is active.

FCE0 is related to the wireless communication module and does not directly affect the core washing functions of the machine. In most cases the washer will still complete wash cycles normally. However, you should confirm the machine is operating correctly before running unattended loads, and the underlying fault should still be diagnosed and repaired to restore full functionality.

Repair costs depend on the root cause. If only a harness connector needs reseating, there may be no parts cost at all, though a service call fee typically ranges from $75 to $150. If the Wi-Fi Module or HMI board requires replacement, parts costs can range from $50 to $250 or more depending on the specific component, with additional labor charges if a technician performs the repair.

Some causes of FCE0 are DIY-friendly, particularly checking and reseating the wiring harness connectors between the HMI and Wi-Fi Module. If you are comfortable using a multimeter to perform a continuity test on the harness wires, you can rule out wiring damage without professional help. However, if a module needs replacement, having some appliance repair experience is recommended to avoid damaging other components during disassembly.

A power reset may temporarily clear the FCE0 code, but if the underlying wiring or module issue is still present, the code will return. Unplugging the washer for a few minutes and restoring power is a reasonable first step, but a persistent FCE0 requires physical inspection of the harness and connectors. A reset alone is not a repair.
