LF stands for Long Fill. It means the washer's control detected that the water level inside the tub did not rise within the expected time after the inlet valves were opened. It can also appear if water entered and disengaged the basket but the control did not register a water level change. The code halts the cycle until the fill issue is resolved.

Resetting the washer may clear the code temporarily, but if the underlying cause is not corrected, the LF error will return as soon as the next fill cycle begins. A reset is useful for confirming whether the fault is intermittent, but it is not a fix for mechanical or component issues like a clogged screen, a faulty valve, or a bad pressure hose connection.

Repair cost depends on the cause. If the fix is simply cleaning clogged inlet hose screens, there is no parts cost involved.
