If that threshold is not met, the machine stops and displays i20. The problem is typically a clogged filter, a restricted drain hose, or a failing drain pump.

You should not continue running the dishwasher with an active i20 error. Water left standing in the tub can cause odors and potential overflow if the drain is blocked and a cycle is forced to run. Resolve the drain issue before resuming normal use.

If only cleaning the filter or clearing a blocked hose is needed, the repair costs nothing beyond your time. A replacement drain pump typically runs in the range of $40 to $100 for the part, plus labor if a technician is involved. A drain level switch is generally less expensive, often in the $15 to $50 range for the part.
