Start by unplugging the washer and carefully inspecting all wire harness connectors at the CCU, MCU, and motor for loose or corroded connections. Reseat any connectors that are not fully clicked into place. If the connections are secure and the code returns, use a multimeter to check continuity through the harness wires. If the harness is good, the MCU is the most likely part to replace, followed by the CCU if the MCU swap does not resolve the fault.

If the fix is simply reseating a loose harness connector, there is no parts cost involved. Replacing an MCU typically runs between $150 and $350 in parts alone, depending on the specific model, with additional labor costs if a technician performs the repair. A CCU replacement is in a similar price range. Getting a diagnostic visit from a technician, usually $75 to $150, can confirm which component has failed before you commit to a part purchase.

Unplugging the washer for a few minutes and restarting it may temporarily clear the code, but if the underlying wiring or component problem is still present, the error will return.
