E:08 means the dishwasher detected too little water during the heating phase of a wash cycle. The control board monitors heating pump power consumption to determine water level, and when that reading falls below the expected threshold, the error is triggered. The programme continues running but the heating function is disabled to prevent component damage. The root cause is typically a water supply restriction or a blocked internal valve.

A reset may clear the error code temporarily, but it will return if the underlying cause is not addressed. To reset, you can hold the Start button for a few seconds or turn the dishwasher off at the power supply for one minute. If the fault reappears on the next cycle, the water supply restriction or component issue must be diagnosed and repaired before the code will stay cleared.

If the issue is a clogged strainer, kinked hose, or closed valve, the repair can often be completed at no cost beyond your time. If a replacement Aquastop inlet hose assembly is needed, parts typically range from around 30 to 80 dollars depending on the model. A pump replacement, if required, generally costs between 150 and 350 dollars including parts and labor. Having a technician diagnose the fault first can help avoid unnecessary part replacements.

Start by checking that the water shut-off valve under the sink is fully open and that the supply hose is not kinked. If supply-side checks do not resolve the issue, the circulation or heating pump may need to be inspected by a technician.

The dishwasher is designed to continue the cycle without heating when E:08 triggers, which prevents immediate damage to the heating element or pump. However, running repeated cycles without resolving the fault can put added stress on the pump and may result in poorly cleaned dishes. It is best to diagnose and fix the cause promptly rather than continuing to use the appliance in a degraded state.
