The control board recognizes the fault condition after 8 seconds of detecting the problem, so it will return after a reset if the root cause has not been addressed. The issue must be diagnosed and repaired for the code to stay cleared.

Repair costs depend on the cause. Clearing a physical obstruction from the coin chute involves no parts cost and only the time to inspect and clean the assembly.
