TC2 on a Samsung washer indicates a dry heater temperature sensor check error. The control board is not receiving a valid signal from the sensor that monitors the dry heater. This can be caused by a disconnected connector, a damaged wiring harness, or a failed sensor. The machine will not complete a drying cycle until the fault is resolved.

You should not use the drying function while TC2 is active. The error exists specifically to prevent the heater from running without proper temperature monitoring, which could be a fire or overheating hazard. Basic wash cycles may still function, but the appliance should be diagnosed before resuming any drying use.

If the fix is simply reseating a loose connector, there is no parts cost involved.
