The dishwasher will typically stop the cycle when this error is active, so it is not operating normally and should not be run until the issue is resolved. Running a cycle without adequate water fill can stress the wash pump and heating element. Address the underlying cause before attempting further use.

If the fix is as simple as opening a supply valve or cleaning the inlet screen, there may be no parts cost involved, though a service call to diagnose the issue typically runs in the range of $75 to $150 depending on your location.
