A power reset by unplugging the unit for several minutes can sometimes clear an F10 error if it was caused by a temporary communication glitch or minor power fluctuation. However, if the underlying cause is a physically loose ribbon cable or a failed component, the error will return after the reset. Physically inspecting and reseating the ribbon cable connections is a necessary step alongside any reset.

If the fix is simply reseating a loose ribbon cable, there is no parts cost involved, though a service call fee may apply if a technician is needed. If a ribbon cable requires replacement, parts are generally inexpensive, typically in the range of $10 to $40. Replacement of a display control board or main electronic control board is more costly, with parts alone ranging from $75 to $250 or more depending on the model, plus labor if professionally repaired.
