A continuously illuminated Lock LED on a GE dishwasher indicates the control is in Consumer Error Mode, also known as Error Code Display Mode. This is a diagnostic state, not a direct sign of a broken part. The control entered this mode either through an intentional button sequence or accidentally. Exiting the mode will turn off the Lock LED and return the dishwasher to normal operation.
