Resetting the washer by unplugging it for a few minutes may temporarily clear the E38 code, but the error will return if the underlying cause has not been corrected. A reset does not repair a clogged hydraulic circuit or a broken drive belt. Address the root cause before running another cycle to avoid potential damage.
