E68 means the dryer's electronic control has detected a button on the control panel that is registering as stuck in the active (pressed) position. This can happen because a button is physically jammed, has debris holding it down, or because the control board itself has developed a fault on that input circuit. The dryer flags this condition because a continuously active button signal prevents normal operation of the control panel.

Begin by entering the dryer's function test mode and running the key test to identify which specific button is registering as stuck. Once identified, carefully inspect that button for debris, residue, or physical jamming, and free it if possible. After freeing the button, run the key test again to confirm the fault is cleared. If the E68 code remains even after the button moves freely, the electronic control board needs to be replaced.

If the fault is simply a jammed or debris-blocked button, the repair may cost little to nothing beyond your time.
