The refrigerator uses this sensor to regulate temperature in the pantry zone, so the error is flagged to prevent uncontrolled temperature conditions.

A 6E error means the refrigerator cannot reliably monitor the pantry compartment temperature. Food stored in that zone may not be kept at a safe temperature, which creates a food safety risk. Other compartments in the refrigerator may continue to function normally, but it is best to resolve the error promptly and avoid relying on the pantry zone for perishable items until the fault is corrected.
